Thomas Giles at Constellation [co-curated and presented by Niki Harlafti]

October 18, 2022—New York City-based saxophonist Thomas Giles presents an intensely focused solo set featuring music by Steve Reich, Marcos Balter, Cole Bluin and works by Chicago-based composers Mathew Arrellin, and Jasmine Thomasian. Giles explores immersive, virtuosic compositions that combine circular breathing, technique layering, amplification, and the human voice; honing his fascination with simultaneity and the multilimbic capacities of a single wind performer. This concert is co-curated and presented by Niki Harlafti.
